MOMENTOS MADRILEÑOS (MOMENTS FROM MADRID)
Synopsis
Momentos Madrileños (Moments from Madrid) is a short dance film that profiles choreographer Mario Bermudez Gil. Gil began his choreographic career in Israel, but for the last two years has been creating dance in his native Spain fusing the Gaga style with folkloric Spanish influences.
The film profiles Gil, his partner and featured dancer Catherine Coury, and his company Marcat Dance during a residency in Madrid. The project showcases Gil’s unique movement style in the dance studio and in iconic sites around the city including Plaza Mayor, La Latina, and Casa de Velázquez.
